THE NATURAL WORLD

One brain teaser.
How many hearts
does an octopus have?

Go on. Take a guess.

Reveal the answer
Three hearts. One remarkable animal.

Two pump blood to the gills. The third sends it around the rest of the body. A little fact worth coming back to.

Small question. New connection.

01 / THE IDEA

Less “I read that once.”
More “I know this one.”

Interesting enough to start.
Small enough to make a habit.

01

Find your rabbit hole.

Start with something that makes you wonder. Science, history, the everyday extraordinary. Let a good question pull you in.

02

Give your brain a turn.

Pause. Make a guess. Discover the answer. Trying to recall an idea is part of learning it, even when you get it wrong.

03

Make the connection stick.

Revisit questions over time with spaced repetition. We’re building for short sessions, around three minutes, that fit into your day.

FOR THE ENDLESSLY CURIOUS

The world is full of
“wait, really?”

LEARNING YOU CAN PUT TO WORK

Better flashcards.
A habit of remembering.

Explore the methods.
Try them for yourself.

A good question gives you something to recall. Spaced reviews give you chances to recall it again. Our free guides show you how to make flashcards, get started with Anki, and practice remembering what you read.

Flashcards

Turn a page of notes into questions you can actually answer. See good and bad card examples, then build a small deck of your own.

Can I use BrainPing today?

We’re building BrainPing now. Join the waitlist to register your interest in early access and hear when it’s ready to try.

What is spaced repetition?

It means returning to something you’ve learned at intervals, instead of studying it all at once. BrainPing is being designed around this practice, so discovering an answer is just the beginning. Try an example spaced repetition schedule.

Do I need to create my own flashcards?

The idea is to get straight to the interesting part: ready-made questions, short explanations, and chances to practice remembering. No blank deck to fill before you begin.

Does joining cost anything?

No. The waitlist is free, and there’s no payment information to enter. You’re expressing interest, with no commitment to buy.

Is BrainPing an alternative to Anki flashcards?

Anki is an established tool for making and reviewing your own decks. BrainPing is still being built around ready-made curiosity questions and short learning sessions. We’re independent of Anki, and we don’t currently offer deck imports or a working flashcard app. You can use our Anki flashcards guide today.
